We are a young and committed team headed by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Knauer. The focus of our research work lies in the areas of value-oriented controlling with a special focus on performance management, corporate planning as well as M&A. We combine scientific research with a strong practical orientation and publish in the leading journals in the field of accounting and controlling.

The concept of value-based controlling forms the overarching leitmotif for all research activities of the Chair of Business Administration, especially Controlling, headed by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Knauer. The focus of our research is on how controlling can contribute to an increase in corporate value.
