What do we discuss with you in the Faact Master?

Due to increasing globalization, digitalization of business processes as well as the related competition for scarce resources, financial corporate management is essential. In addition, the Corona pandemic as well as the increasing relevance of sustainable management in corporate governance highlight the diverse opportunities and risks that companies are facing. In order to be able to cope with such challenges, the FAACT Master prepares you for the following tasks, for example:

e.g.: “How do I optimally finance a company, taking into account the associated tax, balance sheet and financial effects?”

e.g.: “How do I determine the equity and total cost of capital of companies?”/”What added value can risk simulation offer in controlling, tax planning, company valuation and auditing?”

e.g. “How could a digital audit be conceptually implemented in the sense of a full audit of the company?”/”What possibilities exist for data procurement as well as data preparation in the context of company and competition analyses and which tools and methods should be used for this?”

How do we discuss with you in the faact master?

The FAACT Master does not only aim at the pure transfer of knowledge in the sense of deepening the content and targeted expansion of your existing knowledge of economic methods. Rather, we want to identify and discuss problems “with you” and develop joint approaches to solutions. The connection to research and practice is additionally strengthened by the fact that you can exchange ideas with renowned scientists from other universities as well as with well-known representatives of practice in the context of guest lectures, practice as well as research seminars. Small group sizes enable you to engage in an intensive dialogue with the lecturers and your fellow students at any time. In addition, you will improve important soft skills through a variety of seminars in German and English by developing, presenting and discussing your own economically sound approaches to solutions. Special emphasis is placed on a constructive and critical discussion atmosphere.

Graduate (2019) in the controlling department of a large corporation.
"For all those who are interested in working in the fields of accounting, finance or controlling, the FAACT degree program is highly recommended. Especially in practice, it is important to have knowledge from the different areas, as there are many interfaces between them. The FAACT degree program offers a comprehensive range of courses in this field and is therefore a good starting point for a successful career start."
Graduate (2018) in corporate / investment banking at a large German bank.
"Looking back, my studies with specialization in Accounting, Finance & Taxation have been very exciting and formative both in terms of content and personally. The subjects provided me with a broad toolkit for my current professional activities in the corporate finance department of a large German bank and at the same time offered a lot of scope for the individual selection of key topics. In particular, I found the interlocking of different theoretical contents in the individual modules very exciting and made it much easier for me to see and evaluate certain issues in an overarching context or to be able to explain them."
Graduate (2018) in the auditing department of a large auditing company.
"I decided to do my studies at RUB because of the wide range of modules offered in Accounting, Finance and Taxation. This allowed me to set my focus in these areas from the beginning and to specialize during my studies. This focus in my studies helped me when I started my career in auditing. I was able to practically apply the content I learned in my studies in my job as well as further deepen my knowledge."
