The Professional Skill Development Module of the Master Programme Economic Policy Consulting of the Faculty of Management and Economics took place as a purely digital block event for the first time. The module was designed and implemented by Prof. Dr. Nicola Werbeck, Dr. Anna Talmann and Lea Decker, M.Sc. The advantages of the event format were used to provide the 28 students with top-class experts as discussion and sparring partners. In the digital exchange Luisa Neubauer (Picture) asked questions about Fridays for Future, the Corona crisis and its impact on the current climate debate, but also about hate on the net and her communication strategy. Dr. Thomas Pfeiffer provided an exciting insight into the political work of the NRW Verfassungsschutz, and Dr. Katinka Netzer from the RUB Schreibzentrum took some of the horror out of the topic of ‘writing’. Finally, groups of students presented their advisory approaches to the topics of climate protection and climate adaptation to renowned experts from politics and business. Dr. Verena Eckl (RVR), Dr. Eva-Maria Hubbert (City of Bochum), Mr. Christian Glock (innogy SE), Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Löwenstein (RUB) and Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Christoph M. Schmidt (RWI/RUB).
