The Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Business Models was represented by Michael Rennings at this year’s EURAM (European Academy of Management) Conference 2025 in Florence, Italy.

Michael Rennings presented the Chair’s current research findings on the “Convergence of scientific fields”. In his presentation, he showed how new interdisciplinary fields of science are emerging at the interfaces of existing disciplines, which are particularly suitable for addressing societal challenges. The example of synthetic biology was used to show how different types of researchers shape the development of such fields.

EURAM 2025 provided an excellent platform for scientific exchange and inspiration as well as for establishing new and deepening existing international contacts. The Chair can therefore look back on a successful conference participation and looks forward to incorporating the knowledge gained into further research and teaching.
