Student assistant with a bachelor degree

Description

The Chair of Macroeconomics is looking for astudent assistant (with a bachelor degree) as soon as possible.

The position is available for six months. The weekly working time is 10 hours.

The tasks to be performed are as follows:

To assist in the development of a code in Python for economic simulation
To review existing code and implement code for data visualization

a) why are you interested in the position?
b) what are your strengths that can help to succeed in the core tasks of the position?
c) in which courses and for how long have you been learning/working with Python?

Requirements profile

The main knowledge, skills, and abilities required are as follows:

Excellent Python knowledge; in particular of the libraries NumPy, Matplotlib, Pandas
Knowledge of Jupyter notebooks
Excellent English knowledge
Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance
Willingness to learn and be engaged in economic research
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
Responsible behavior for delegated activities

Knowledge of macroeconomics, monetary and financial economics background is not strictly required.
However, they will be considered an asset.
