As a reform-oriented campus university, it uniquely combines the entire range of major scientific fields in one place. The dynamic interaction of subjects and subject cultures offers researchers and students alike special opportunities for interdisciplinary cooperation.

We offer a challenging position with the possibility of a doctorate. Possible research focuses include finance and risk management, capital market regulation, bank marketing, digitalisation trends in the financial industry or quantitative capital market research. Your regular duties will include taking on chair responsibilities, participating in practice-oriented research projects, and presenting and publishing in German and English in relevant journals and international conferences.

The scope of the teaching duties is based on §3 of the Teaching Duties Ordinance of North Rhine-Westphalia.

At the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, we particularly want to promote the careers of women in those areas in which they are underrepresented and are therefore very pleased to receive female applicants. We also welcome applications from suitable severely disabled applicants and applicants with equal status.
