The Chair for Entrepreneurship and innovative Business Models (Prof. Dr. Stefanie Bröring) warmly congratulates Philipp Baaden on the successful completion of his PhD dissertation titled: “The power of convergence: The emergence of interdisciplinary scientific fields as a driver of innovation.”

In his research, he explored the fundamental question of how interdisciplinary scientific fields (e.g., synthetic biology) emerge and what role they play as drivers of innovation and societal transformation. His work makes a significant contribution to our understanding of the intersection between science, technological development, and entrepreneurial implementation.
