On 11 and 12th January 2023, the workshop “Decarbonizing Energy Systems – Technological and Policy Challenges in Addressing Multiple Benefits” will take place at Forschungszentrum Jülich. The workshop aimed to further develop the methodological approaches for capturing and evaluating multiple effects of energy system decarbonisation and for assessing the implications of different features of the effects on strategic behaviour of agents. The workshop will be hosted by the Foschungszentrum Jülich, the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg and the Center for Environmental Management, Ressources and Energy (CURE). CURE guest lecturer Prof. Dr. Dirk Rübbelke will give an introduction into Primary and Ancillary Benefits.
