In the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Ruhr University Bochum, a Professorship (open rank: W2 or W3) for Sustainable Corporate Management is to be filled in the CURE (Centre for Environmental Management, Resources and Energy) area of competence as soon as possible.

The future chair holder will represent the field of sustainable corporate management from a business perspective with a focus on the areas of sustainable performance measurement and management, sustainable organizational design and/or sustainable finance in research and teaching. We are looking for an excellent researcher who publishes her/his empirical quantitative research in leading international journals. Furthermore, it is expected that the future chair holder will play a key role in shaping the transfer activities of the faculty and will transfer her/his own research findings into practice. We welcome active collaboration with the FAACT (Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Controlling, Taxation) department as well as with other faculties and research clusters.
Requirements profile
It is assumed that the future chair holder will be able to fully cover the teaching in the field of sustainable corporate management in German and English in the study programs offered by the faculty.
A positive evaluation as a junior professor or an equivalent academic achievement (e.g. habilitation) as well as proof of academic teaching skills are required. The willingness to participate in academic self-administration is also required.
We further expect:
- a high level of commitment to teaching
- the willigness to participate in interdisciplinary scientific work
- significant success in acquiring third-party funded research projects (to be proven by a project list)
- international networking.
