CISE

Welcome to CISE

Centre for International and Spatial Economics

ABOUT US

Economic and social inequalities between and within continents, states, countries and regions manifest in real income disparities, in the existence and extent of absolute poverty as well as in unequal access to labor markets, education or health care. Such disparities are on the one hand results of economic and governmental action, but at the same time also set the framework for production, investment, consumption and trade as well as for economic policy.
The Centre for International and Spatial Economics (CISE) investigates in research and teaching how these inequalities arise, under which circumstances they become entrenched and whether and how they can be countered with economic policy measures.
