Julian Röckert
Post-Doc

Julian is a researcher in the Economic Policy Lab "Climate Change, Development, and Migration" at RWI - Leibniz Institute for Economic Research. Before joining RWI, he authored his PhD thesis in the FutureLab "Inequality, Human Wellbeing and Development" at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) while being affiliated with Ruhr University Bochum. He defended his thesis in October 2023. He also holds an MSc in Economics from Freie University Berlin and an MA in Art and Politics from Goldsmiths College London. His research interests include the contextual impacts of climate change on human livelihoods and how populations respond and adapt to it. A further interest is the evaluation of international development cooperation.
